Foreword

In 1981, Lama Sangyay Tendzin presented to His Eminence Kenting Tai Situpa the creation project of DRA TAGPA RITRU, a Buddhist center dedicated to the practice of Dharma

The name chosen means “Retreat Place with Permanent Sound”: which designates an isolated place animated by the constant recitation of mantras.

Today, the association DRA TAGPA RITRU is well established and offers all the infrastructures needed to support the activities of Theg-Chog Norbu Ling, a Tibetan Center of the Karma Kamtshang lineage. The Center is home to a community of a dozen volunteer residents.

All are involved in the daily practice of the teachings of Tibetan Buddhism.

This committed spiritual approach is sustained through a daily practice of "Karma Yoga" or Action Yoga by which the members work to develop and maintain the premises.

Several facilities have been built in the past 20 years.

The Association set up, aims to manage non-religious activities supporting activities carried out by the TNG-Centre whose religious activities are placed under the aegis of the 1905 THEG-CHOG NORBU LING Worship Association.

The Centre has currently the capacity to offer full boarding for a few dozens members. The next stage will consist of setting up events allowing to welcome the great Tibetan masters providing them the ability to transmit the teachings of the lineage.

The DRA TAGPA RITRU association offers accommodation and boarding to its members during seminars and retreats organized quarterly. These are accessible exclusively to members of the Association having paid their memberships.
